Encouragement For The Soul

(Jude 1:24) Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,  (KJV)

I have met many people during my time in the ministry that walk in fear of failure when it comes to their walk with the Lord. They will not take steps of faith because they are afraid that they will fail in the task. They are afraid that God will not do has He has promised. They are afraid they do not have what it takes to do to what needs to been done. This is the spirit of fear from the enemy controlling their life and not the Spirit of God in control.

(2 Timothy 1:7) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  (KJV)

Fear is a tactic of the enemy to stop the child of God from making a step of faith that would result in Jesus being glorified and the child of God being strengthened for another step of faith. You see satan himself is afraid of those you walk in faith in Jesus. He knows that the child of God who is faithfully dependent of Jesus, obeys His voice, leaves the consequences to the Lord, is unstoppable. satan knows the the child of God who is lead by the Spirit of God is a force to be reckoned with because (1 John 4:4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.  (KJV)

Do not let fear cloud you mind and spirit. Fear leads to confusion and confusion is not of God (1Corinthians 14:33). Confusion leads to discouragement, discouragement leads to depression, and depression leads to defeat. Defeat has no business in the child of God’s life because the scripture teaches us that we are victorious through our faith in Jesus Christ (1Corintians 15.57). Jesus has overcome the enemy. Jesus has overcome the world. Jesus has overcome fear itself. So we as children of God have overcome all these things through our faith in Christ our Lord.

Stop letting fear stop you from taking leaps of faith. Put your eyes on Jesus. He will keep you from falling. He will hold on to you all the way to victory because He loves you and He wants to see you succeed.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

What To Do About The Enemy’s Scorn

Encouragement For The Soul

(1 Peter 4:12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  (KJV)

“Troubles that drive you to Jesus are nothing more than just treasures in disguise.” – author unknown

Why do I quote this? Because of one little word in verse 12 of 1Peter 4, “try.” In the Greek the word used here is peirasmos (pi-ras-mos’) and it means ” a putting to proof.” The word “proof” in our English language means ” a proving or testing of something; evidence that establishes the truth or genuineness (of something)” and, this one is even better, “to make resistance to (something).”

When we face our fiery trials in life it is for our benefit because it establish the genuineness of our faith in Jesus Christ, establishes the truth of His power to lift us above the trial, and makes us more resistance against future trials that will come our way. They also teach us to be more dependent on Him for all things in our life (Proverbs 3:5-7; Philippians 4:13). There is nothing that the child of God will ever face that the Lord cannot give you victory over and I will give you four reasons from scripture why this is true:

1. God is on your side. (Romans 8:31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  (KJV)

2. God’s grace is sufficient for all your needs. (2 Corinthians 12:9) And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness…  (KJV)

3.God is greater than any trial you will ever face. (1 John 4:4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.  (KJV)

4. Jesus has overcome this world therefore we have overcome this world through our faith and dependency in Jesus. (John 16:33) These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.  (KJV)
(1 John 5:4-5) For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  (KJV)

Don’t think it strange my friends when the fiery trials come upon you. The Lord has not forsaken you. You are being prepared for better things and the Lord is just making you a more tempered tool for His use. When He comes for His faithful, and He will come again shortly for this He has promised, you will receive your rightful reward from Him for your faith. Set your eyes on Him, for He will not give you more than you can handle (1Corinthians 10:13). He will be with you every step of the way. You will overcome the trial. You will walk in His victory. (1 Corinthians 15:57) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  (KJV)

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

(1 John 5:4-5) For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

(1 Corinthians 15:57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to talk to you and encourage you about maintaining your victory over the enemy of God’s people, satan. And, yes, it is something that must be maintained, if we are to walk constantly in the victory given us by our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. There is no reason what so ever that the truly born again believer should not win every battle, conflict, and struggle he or she engages in. There is no reason what so ever that the born again Christian cannot overcome any and all trials or tribulations that comes your way.

To many times born again Christians let down their guard and allow satan to pester them into discouragement and disappointment which leads ultimately to a negative or defeated attitude. This is unacceptable behavior for a Christian. We all have been guilty of this attitude at one time or another in our walk with the Lord, no one I know is immune from it. You see the devil wants to keep us from grasping the fact that the war has been won for us and that he no longer has any ground to stand on from which to launch any retaliatory action. The only ground he can command in your life is the ground that you give him legal entrance to and the only doors he can enter into is the doors you open to him. You must never give him entrance and never give ground to allow him a foothold into your life (Ephesians 4:27; 2Corinthians 2:11; James 4:7).

Satan does not want you to understand that you are fighting from a victory and not for a victory. He does not want you to grasp the FACT that he is defeated and no longer has any dominion or authority over you. The greatest truth to you living in victory day in and day out is this: CHRIST DEFEATED SATAN AND HIS DEMONIC KINGDOM ON CALVARY’S CROSS TOTALLY AND FOREVER. (Colossians 2:15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

When Jesus said “It is finished,” He meant it was finished indeed. Jesus Christ did this for you, not for Himself, and He did it through His sacrificial death on the cross, the shedding of His precious blood, and His glorious resurrection from the grave on the third day. The victory is yours through faith in Christ Jesus the Lord, the One and Only Savior, God, and King. You must get a hold of this great truth and understand what it means to you. Then and only then can you walk continually in victory over the enemy through your faith in Jesus Christ.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

(Psalms 27:14) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.  (KJV)

Wait, waits, waited, waiting = These words in the Hebrew language give us the idea of having a “confident expectation” in the Lord our God, Jesus Christ.
To wait on the Lord is to have a confident expectation that He will do as He has promised in His Word and now you are just waiting on His time and action to occur.
In other words, Jesus is going to do what He has said He will do for you in His Word.
We just have to be willing to say, “He said it, I believe it, and that is all there is to it!
Waiting is an expression of your faith in Jesus Christ.
You just have to now wait for His promise and blessing to manifest in your life.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

II Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Every time you venture out in your walk of faith, you will encounter circumstances that from a “common sense” point of view that will flatly contradict your faith. But man’s common sense views are always contradictions to your faith in Jesus Christ because common sense is not faith and faith is not common sense. In fact they are COMPLETELY different, as different as the natural life is to our spiritual life in Christ Jesus. When you find your strength has run dry and your vision has been blinded, just trust Jesus with all your heart and you will find strength for the test and victory for your trial.
Be blessed my friend.

Encouragement For The Soul

1Pe 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(KJV)

The more you wrestle with your problems, your sin, the deeper they become entrenched in your life. The more you struggle, the more you become entrapped in their hold. They are like the thorns of a cactus plant, the more you pick at them the deeper they become embedded in your flesh.  But the moment you make up your mind to surrender your will to God’s will and power, that is when He steps in and begins to “exalt” you above all the sin and problems in your life.
He gives you what you need to overcome the problems and the sin that has you trapped and holding you back. Through His power and presence in your life, through your humble surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, He gives you the strength to live a life free from that sin and problems that have held you back for so long.
Through your relationship with Jesus the Savior you now become a soaring eagle above all the turmoil. You find endurance to continue and the strength to overpower the sin and problems that have held you captive for so long. (Isaiah 40:31; 1John 5:4-5)
Be blessed my friend.

What Can Be Done

“Real true faith is man’s weakness leaning on God’s strength.”

Encouragement For The Soul

(1 Peter 1:6-9) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (KJV)

Trials and tribulation cause us to depend more and more on the Lord and not own our own merits or abilities. Going through the trials and tribulations dependent on our Savior Jesus Christ deepens our faith and allows us to see God as He truly is… loving, gracious, all powerful, able to supply for all our needs, and larger than life. Trials and tribulations will make us more stable as we depend completely on Jesus in our walk with Him and because of them, He will use us to help guide others who are going through what we have already experienced.
(Proverbs 3:5-7) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (KJV)
When you trust completely in Jesus, when you are dependent on His wisdom and knowledge of all things, and when you give Him the glory and praise, He will guide you and bless you in all situations in your life. It is not always easy. It takes a determined effort on our part to stay faithful and trust Him. But in the end it will work out for our best, because He knows what is best for our life (Romans 8:28).

Be blessed my friends. Have a great and glorious day with the Lord.
