Encouragement For The Soul

(1 John 5:4-5) For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

(1 Corinthians 15:57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would like to talk to you and encourage you about maintaining your victory over the enemy of God’s people, satan. And, yes, it is something that must be maintained, if we are to walk constantly in the victory given us by our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. There is no reason what so ever that the truly born again believer should not win every battle, conflict, and struggle he or she engages in. There is no reason what so ever that the born again Christian cannot overcome any and all trials or tribulations that comes your way.

To many times born again Christians let down their guard and allow satan to pester them into discouragement and disappointment which leads ultimately to a negative or defeated attitude. This is unacceptable behavior for a Christian. We all have been guilty of this attitude at one time or another in our walk with the Lord, no one I know is immune from it. You see the devil wants to keep us from grasping the fact that the war has been won for us and that he no longer has any ground to stand on from which to launch any retaliatory action. The only ground he can command in your life is the ground that you give him legal entrance to and the only doors he can enter into is the doors you open to him. You must never give him entrance and never give ground to allow him a foothold into your life (Ephesians 4:27; 2Corinthians 2:11; James 4:7).

Satan does not want you to understand that you are fighting from a victory and not for a victory. He does not want you to grasp the FACT that he is defeated and no longer has any dominion or authority over you. The greatest truth to you living in victory day in and day out is this: CHRIST DEFEATED SATAN AND HIS DEMONIC KINGDOM ON CALVARY’S CROSS TOTALLY AND FOREVER. (Colossians 2:15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

When Jesus said “It is finished,” He meant it was finished indeed. Jesus Christ did this for you, not for Himself, and He did it through His sacrificial death on the cross, the shedding of His precious blood, and His glorious resurrection from the grave on the third day. The victory is yours through faith in Christ Jesus the Lord, the One and Only Savior, God, and King. You must get a hold of this great truth and understand what it means to you. Then and only then can you walk continually in victory over the enemy through your faith in Jesus Christ.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

(Psalms 27:14) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.  (KJV)

Wait, waits, waited, waiting = These words in the Hebrew language give us the idea of having a “confident expectation” in the Lord our God, Jesus Christ.
To wait on the Lord is to have a confident expectation that He will do as He has promised in His Word and now you are just waiting on His time and action to occur.
In other words, Jesus is going to do what He has said He will do for you in His Word.
We just have to be willing to say, “He said it, I believe it, and that is all there is to it!
Waiting is an expression of your faith in Jesus Christ.
You just have to now wait for His promise and blessing to manifest in your life.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord. Be blessed my friends.

II Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Every time you venture out in your walk of faith, you will encounter circumstances that from a “common sense” point of view that will flatly contradict your faith. But man’s common sense views are always contradictions to your faith in Jesus Christ because common sense is not faith and faith is not common sense. In fact they are COMPLETELY different, as different as the natural life is to our spiritual life in Christ Jesus. When you find your strength has run dry and your vision has been blinded, just trust Jesus with all your heart and you will find strength for the test and victory for your trial.
Be blessed my friend.

1Pe 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(KJV)

The more you wrestle with your problems, your sin, the deeper they become entrenched in your life. The more you struggle, the more you become entrapped in their hold. They are like the thorns of a cactus plant, the more you pick at them the deeper they become embedded in your flesh.  But the moment you make up your mind to surrender your will to God’s will and power, that is when He steps in and begins to “exalt” you above all the sin and problems in your life.
He gives you what you need to overcome the problems and the sin that has you trapped and holding you back. Through His power and presence in your life, through your humble surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, He gives you the strength to live a life free from that sin and problems that have held you back for so long.
Through your relationship with Jesus the Savior you now become a soaring eagle above all the turmoil. You find endurance to continue and the strength to overpower the sin and problems that have held you captive for so long. (Isaiah 40:31; 1John 5:4-5)
Be blessed my friend.

What Can Be Done

“Real true faith is man’s weakness leaning on God’s strength.”

Encouragement For The Soul

(1 Peter 1:6-9) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (KJV)

Trials and tribulation cause us to depend more and more on the Lord and not own our own merits or abilities. Going through the trials and tribulations dependent on our Savior Jesus Christ deepens our faith and allows us to see God as He truly is… loving, gracious, all powerful, able to supply for all our needs, and larger than life. Trials and tribulations will make us more stable as we depend completely on Jesus in our walk with Him and because of them, He will use us to help guide others who are going through what we have already experienced.
(Proverbs 3:5-7) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (KJV)
When you trust completely in Jesus, when you are dependent on His wisdom and knowledge of all things, and when you give Him the glory and praise, He will guide you and bless you in all situations in your life. It is not always easy. It takes a determined effort on our part to stay faithful and trust Him. But in the end it will work out for our best, because He knows what is best for our life (Romans 8:28).

Be blessed my friends. Have a great and glorious day with the Lord.

(John 15:1-2) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. (KJV)

Have you ever said something like this to God, “Lord, make me a godly man.” or “Lord, mold me into a woman after Your own heart.” Meanwhile, in your heart you are thinking, “…but don’t let it hurt too much.”
Have you ever asked God, “Lord, make me stable, long-suffering, and gracious,” and then thought “…but don’t remove too many of my creature comforts.”
“Lord, teach me faith, make me strong,” and then said to yourself, “…but don’t let me suffer.”
Have you ever bargained with God like that? We want instant maturity, not the kind that requires sacrifice or emotional pain or hardship. “Lord, give me patience… and I want it right now!”
God’s spiritual boot camp does not work that way. It is designed for our development toward our spiritual maturity and not for our comfort. But self-denial or suffering is not a popular virtue in today’s culture.
(1 Peter 5:10) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (KJV)
There is always something that must be purged or pruned from our lives that will make us stronger and better Christians, servants to the most High God and King Jesus Christ. We must allow God to remove the “impurities” or “dead weight” so that we might be refined into something glorious in His sight, meet for the Master’s use.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord.

Be blessed my friends.

(Philippians 1:20) According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. (KJV)

When you have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your hope is never in vain. You can have a steadfast confidence that no matter what happens in life you walk in victory with the Lord Jesus Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will always see you through the storms of your life. He will fulfill all His promises from His Word. He will always give you the strength to resist temptation. And He will always watch over you and keep you in the palm of His hand. Faithful, true, trustworthy, gracious, loving, kind, merciful… all describe our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will never let you down; He will never disappoint those who trust in Him completely. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will not be ashamed. He is your confidence and earnest expectation in this life.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord.

Be blessed my friends.

(John 5:30) I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (KJV)

We must learn to hear and heed the voice of God in our life if we are to be in His will. When we are in God’s will we will have peace and not doubt in our heart that our actions line up with His will and not ours. Our life should be so full of the God’s presence that choosing another course of action other than His will does not occur to us at all. When we seek a fuller more intimate relationship with our Savior, He guides and directs our judgment and common sense to make the right chooses. When we are yielded by faith to the teachings of the Lord and guidance from His Spirit, His blessing flow freely in our life, trials are lessened, and His love and peace which passes all our understanding fills our life.

Have a great and glorious day with the Lord.

Be blessed my friends.
