Encouragement For The Soul

“Amazing grace, How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me; I once was lost, But now I’m found; Was blind but now I see…”

God’s grace is so amazing that it goes beyond anything you and I will ever be able to totally comprehend. God’s grace simply defined is this, “God’s undeserved favor toward and undeserving sinner.” You and I do not deserve the grace of God to be given to us because of the sin we have committed. We do not deserve any kind of favor or forgiveness from the righteous, holy God, Jesus Christ. But because of His grace, His love, His mercy, because of His forgiving nature, He has bestowed upon us an amazing gift when we come to Him in faith, salvation.

(Ephesians 2:5) even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
(Ephesians 2:8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  (NKJV)

Because of the sin we have committed:

I. We deserved punishment, but He is willing to give us pardon. (Romans 8:1) There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  (NKJV)
II. We deserved the wrath of God, but He is willing to give us mercy.(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived.  10 Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.  (NKJV)
III. We deserved to be enemies, but He is willing to give us peace. (Romans 5:1) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)
(Colossians 1:20) and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.  (NKJV)
IV. We deserved death, but He is willing to give us life. (2 Corinthians 1:9-10) Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,  (NKJV)

V. We deserved an eternity of Hell, but He is willing to give us an eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. (John 3:16-17) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  (NKJV)

VI. We deserved separation, but He is willing to make us children and heirs. (Romans 8:14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
(Romans 8:17) and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.  (NKJV)

VII. We deserve to be left here on this earth to face the horrors that are to come, but He has promised to come back for us and to keep us from the hour of trial that is to come. (John 14:1-3) “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  (NKJV)

(Revelation 3:10) “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.  (NKJV)

(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.  (NKJV)

(Titus 2:11-13) For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)

Isn’t God’s grace amazing. Have a great and glorious day in the Lord.

Be blessed my friends.

“Letting Go”

Encouragement For The Soul

(Psalms 40:5) Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.  (NKJV)

It still brings awe and amazement to me when I see God work in the ways He does. I know that He is the God that nothing is impossible for. I know that He is the God that is in control of all things. I know that He is the sovereign Ruler of the universe. But it still brings me to my knees when He begins to work His divine will and way in the lives of us puny humans.
God wants to make a difference in the lives of men and women, boys and girls. He will change a person’s outlook on life, He will give second chances, He will change people’s lives … as long as you are WILLING to TURN to HIM and SURRENDER by FAITH to HIS AUTHORITY.
People do not realize that Jesus Christ will not force Himself or His will upon anyone. He wants you to come to Him by faith, because you love Him, and because you trust Him. The reason most people don’t see or feel the hand of God in their lives is because they have doubts or they’re to stubborn to trust Him or they just will not open their ears to the call of God. DOUBT is the biggest reason for the lack of spiritual “progress” in the lives of many people. They say things like, “He doesn’t care about me.” or “He doesn’t hear my prayers.” (this was mine before I was saved) or “I can never change.” or “He doesn’t love me.” There are many, many more, but the main thing is, that all of these are DOUBTS. It is only when we quit doubting God and surrender, give Him complete authority and control and care of our lives, that we begin to see changes happen in our life.
I have seen many people’s lives changed by Jesus when they surrender to Him by faith. During one service I saw a young lady saved by God’s amazing grace. She give her heart and soul to the Lord Jesus Christ and He began to make a difference in her life. She surrendered her life by faith to Jesus and received His free gift of salvation and her life was completely changed forever right then and there. I have seen others allow God to start a healing process in their lives, they began to allow Jesus Christ to make a difference in their life. Jesus Christ is a God of love, mercy, and grace. He WILL make a difference in your life. He can make a change in your life. You just have to trust Him.
God is an amazing God and He can and will do the impossible in your live when you TRUST IN HIM. All it takes is unwavering faith. Stop looking at the world, stop listening to the world, stop with the self pity, stop dragging your feet and just say “Lord I know you can do anything. I know that you are an amazing God. God I am going to be looking and watching and waiting for You. I just know You are going to do something amazing in my life today. I love You Lord and trust You Lord and by faith I surrender control of my life to You.”
It is only through faith and trust in Jesus Christ that you begin to see changes in your life. It is only though your faith in Him that He can begin to change your life. It is only when you take that step of faith toward Him that He RUNS to you and amazingly, supernaturally, and divinely changes your life. Jesus said these words in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Jesus wants you to come to Him today. Jesus wants to help you today. Jesus wants to be the One to relieve the stress in your life today. Jesus wants to see you blessed above measure today. But most importantly Jesus wants to be the Lord and Savior of your life today. He wants to have a relationship with you today.

Please allow me to pray for you:
Dear Lord,
Today change the lives of people. Lord let today be the day that they hear Your voice of truth. Lord let today be the day that they begin to feel Your presence in their life. Lord make Yourself so real to them, that they cannot doubt Your presence. Lord Jesus there are many today who have not hope, Lord give them hope. There are many today Lord who are drowning in a pit of self-pity, Lord pull them out. There are many today Lord who are so blinded by their circumstances that they do not see You, open the eyes of the blind Lord. There are some today Lord who are so deafened by the sounds of the world that they cannot hear Your voice Lord, give them ears with which to hear You with. There are some today Lord who’s hearts are so hardened by the situations of life, that they cannot feel You. Oh, Lord give them the heart to receive You. Jesus You are the All Powerful God. You are loving, kind, merciful, gracious, just, holy, righteous … You are an awesome God. Lord we love You today. Lord we need Your divine touch and guidance today. Lord I pray now for all those who are discouraged. All those who feel defeated. All those who have never seen You, heard You, or felt You. Lord I pray today they would be given eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to receive You. Lord give them victory over the storm in their live and give them hope in You today Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus I pray for those who have never given their lives to You, Lord let this be the day of their salvation. I praise You Jesus for You are the amazing God. I give You are the honor and the glory forever and ever. In Jesus name I pray and receive these blessing. I love You Jesus. AMEN AND AMEN AND AMEN.

Be blessed my friends.

Encouragment For The Soul

(1 Peter 5:6) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (KJV)

You cannot expect to be used of God to minister to the needs of others till you surrender totally to His authority, control, and care. When you place God’s will first and foremost in your life, become like Christ (humble and willing to serve God and others), then and only then can God use you, and the gifts He has given you, to accomplish His plan and purpose for your life.

Be blessed my friends.

(Philippians 3:13) Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,  (NKJV)

Happy New Year!

It’s a new day, a new year. 2014 has passed and 2015 has begun. So why are you still mopping around about your disappointments of the past? It is time to stop hanging on to what has been and start looking forward to what is to come. Just because your last year was not the greatest in your life, it does not mean that this new year can not be your time of refreshing and blessing. When you learn to let go of your disappointments and start taking hold of the Savior’s promises, your life will change in this new year. Stop depending on yourself and the world and start depending on the One who can make all the difference in your life, Jesus Christ.

Starting today give Him all authority, control, and care of your life and you will see a change, not only in your circumstance, but most importantly in your attitude and behavior toward life. Jesus wants to see you succeed in life, but He can not bless you until you surrender your will to His will. You must come to Him in faith, believing He is who He says He is and He will do what He has promised. He loves you and all He asks is that you place all trust and faith in Him and love Him as He loves you. Hebrews 11:6 tells us this, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  (NKJV)

All you have to do is ask Him into your life by faith and give Him control. Just say this prayer of faith and mean it. Say, “Dear Lord Jesus, I need you in my life. Right now by faith I surrender all authority, control, and care of my life to You. I know you died on the cross for my sin and that you rose from the grave on the third day and now You are seated at the right hand of God the Father in the Kingdom of Heaven interceding on my behalf. Now Lord Jesus by faith I ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You Jesus for saving me. I love You Jesus. Amen.

If you will do this today, you will see a change. You will have a better year. You will be blessed above measure. It may not be all fun and games, but you will have the peace and contentment of knowing that no matter what, Jesus is with you every step of the way and His way is always the best way. So stop looking back and start reaching forward with Jesus.

Be blessed my friends.

Grace Is Enough

Encouragment For The Soul

(Hebrews 11:1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)

When you walk by faith in Jesus Christ, following Him completely, He will never lead you astray. He will always bring you to the place you need to be at the exact moment you need to be there. Faith in Jesus is the most wonderful thing that can happen to you in your life. Not only does it bring about salvation, the forgiveness of sin, it frees you from the penalty of sin. Faith in Jesus brings about a confidence in your life that no matter what, no matter where, you never walk alone through the storms of life. It is a knowing in your soul that when you trust in Him completely, follow His commands by faith and love, you will always be victorious over the world and the enemies attacks (1 Corinthians 15:57-58; 2 Corinthians 2:14).

We don’t always see the hand of God at work in our life, but because of our faith we know that He is there for us. We know it because we trust Him and love Him to always do what is best for us and to do it when it is most needed in our life (Romans 8:28). Like any good parent, God always looks after the needs of His children and we can know this because His Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit (Romans 8:14-18). Take a step of faith today. Trust the call of God in your life. He will not let you down.

Be blessed my friends.

Who Is This Jesus?

Encouragment For The Soul

(Isaiah 40:31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV)

God does not always reveal His plan for your life all at one time. Most of the time He reveals His will to you “little by little” or “one step at a time.” When times of not understanding arise in your life, you must be willing to “be still and know” that God is in control and that in His timing He will reveal His purpose and plan for your life. When you “wait upon the Lord” you are strengthened in your faith and find comfort and renewal in your patience and complete oneness with God. God loves you and He does have a plan for your life, just let Him work it out as He sees fit. Don’t try to rush headlong into the “dark of night” with no way of knowing which way to go, wait until He shines His light to give you direction and guidance. His way is always the best way.

Be blessed my friends.

Encouragment For The Soul

(Matthew 6:6) But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

Prayer is the most intimate part of your relationship with the Savior. It should be a time of worship, praise, and petition for needs. It is a time of being in the presence of your God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Prayer is your direct way of communicating with your loving and caring Savior and should not be taken lightly or neglected. Jesus cares about your true needs and He wants to supply for those needs. Just as you communicate your needs to your earthly parents as children, your need of love, understanding, physical and emotional needs, your desires, or your need to just talk about problems, you should do so also to your Heavenly Parent, Jesus Christ. Why not get alone with your Savior today. Seek out your “closet,” and experience a time of refreshing as you are filled with His presence.

Be blessed my friends.
