Encouragement For The Soul

(Matthew 7:1) Judge not, that ye be not judged. (KJV)

You are never to condemn or judge other people. You are to live a life of faith in Jesus Christ, your God and King. You are to follow His commands in your life, take care of the responsibilities He has you to do and not worry about what others do or do not do. You are to take care of your relationship with Him. You are to live a life pleasing to Him by faith. You are to live life by His example, obey His word, and love others as He loves you. If you do this, the Lord will handle the rest and you will find happiness, contentment, and joy eternal in your walk with the Lord Jesus.

Be blessed my friends.

Encouragement For The Soul

(Psalms 27:14) Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

(Psalms 46:10) Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (KJV)

When you are at your wits end with the situations of life, when it is time to make the “big” decision, don’t make rash or hurried choices. Wait for the Lord to give you directions and guidance, that way you will know that you are headed in the right direction and have made the right decision. The word “wait” (qavah, kaw-vaw’) in the Hebrew language gives us the idea of, yes, being patient but also of being joined together with our Lord. Being so in tuned with your Savior that His thoughts become your thoughts. His will becomes your will (Isaiah 55:8-11; Jeremiah 29:11-14; Philippians 2:5). Whatever Jesus has planned for you, you can rest assured that it is for your best interest and for your greater good (Romans 8:28). Because He loves you He only wants what will be best for you in the long run. So be still, listen for His voice. Stop running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Let Jesus take you by the hand and guide you down the path HE KNOWS you need to take.  Till He does speak, stand by faith, trust in Him to make the right decision for you, and wait on Him.

Be blessed my friends.

Encouragement For The Soul

(1 John 5:20) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (KJV)

Emotions are fleeting things at best. Here one minute and gone the next. But, faith in and the knowledge of God is forever. You must never base your relationship with Jesus on emotions alone. Your relationship with Christ should be based on faith in Him and the knowledge of His ultimate sacrifice for you and His unwavering Word. For in His sacrifice was displayed His love for you and in His Word you find strength, hope, and assurance. Your emotions should be an outward expression of your faith, love, knowledge, and relationship with the Savior and never the leading cause.

Be blessed my friends.

(Matthew 4:19) And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (KJV)

The greatest thing about answering the call of Christ to follow Him is the joy of the journey and not the destination in this life. You cannot always see or understand where the call of Christ is leading you right away, but this is not the object of your journey. The object of your journey is the going with Jesus. Faithful, loving, obedience to His call brings joy everlasting, assurance of His presence, and the ultimate reward of eternity with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven.

Be Blessed my friends.

Encouragement For The Soul

(Hebrews 10:19-20) Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (KJV)

This was taken from one of my daily readings and I thought I might share it with you today:

Today our generation of Christians lacks a sense of wonder, awe, and reverence toward God. We want to bring God down to our way of thinking, to our way of doing things. HE IS GOD; not some go-for boy who is there at our beck and call. Though we have a direct access to Him as His children and though He will give us the desires of our heart, if those desires are for the things of His righteousness and will, we should never forget that this access was purchased with the precious blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, shed on Calvary’s Cross. No one who truly understands this ever comes into God’s presence without a sense of holy awe and wonder. No one who understands the incredible price paid at Calvary ever takes his relationship with God for granted.
We will never truly understand God or the way He relates to us unless we first understand a true sense of His holiness and His demands for holiness from those He calls His own (1 Peter 1:15). If we are in God’s presence, we are on holy ground! We must never act as if it were God’s purpose to make us successful. It sinful and prideful for us to become impatient when God does not answer our prayers when and how we think He should. HE IS GOD AND WE ARE NOT!
As you meditate on the price Jesus paid to give you access to the Father, you will come to highly anticipate and treasure your prayer times with Him. Worship will become a privilege you seize with gratitude and awe. Church services will no longer be mundane, but times of excitement at the presence of God the Holy Spirit in the house. Scripture will become food to your soul and the love letter from God to your heart as you strive to be holy in all that you do.
If you have lost your sense of awe and wonder at the incredible gift of salvation that has been given to you, if you have lost your sense of excitement when a miracle of God takes place or a soul is won for the Kingdom, if Church has become a “ho-hum” burden in your life, you need to revisit the cross and witness your Savior’s suffering for you. How precious is the flow that made me white as snow, nothing but the blood of Jesus. The price paid was a gift of love from the Savior to you and to me. The least we could do is return that love with a willing life of service, worship, and praise.

Be blessed my friends,

Encouragement For The Soul

1Pe 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(KJV)

The more you wrestle with your problems, your sin, the deeper they become entrenched in your life. The more you struggle, the more you become entrapped in their hold. But the moment you make up your mind to surrender your will to God’s will and power, that is when He steps in and begins to “exalt” you above all the sin and problems in your life.
He gives you what you need to overcome the problems and the sin that has you trapped and holding you back. Through His power and presence in your life, through your humble surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ, He gives you the strength to live a life free from the sin you know is wrong and the victory over the problems that have held you back for so long.
Through your relationship with Jesus the Savior you now become a soaring eagle above all the turmoil. You find endurance to continue and the strength to overpower the sin and problems that have held you captive for so long. (Isaiah 40:31; 1John 5:4-5)
Be blessed my Friends.
